This is my first fanfic(so please be kind) and it was not what I
wanted to post first. However this idea got in my head during work and I felt
I just had to write it out. C&C on the story is welcome. However, since I'm
not a very serious writer and I'm only doing this for fun, C&C on spelling
and grammer will be ignored.

Disclaimer: Evangelion, Ranma 1/2, and AMS are not my property. They are the
property of their respected owners. Please don't sue me, I have no money to
spare!

A Better Future

By James Lee

Part 1

Note: This takes place in alternative reality of Evangelion.

In the remains of a once great city stood a ruined skyscaper. On top
of this skyscaper stood a girl with long red hair. The girl was dressed in a
red plug suit and held a hand over the bloody socket were her left eye used
to be. As she looked over the ruins that were Tokyo 3 she began to cry.
She was the last. The last human survivor of Third Impact.
All the other's: Shinji, Rei, Misato, Kaji, all her frinds, were gone.
"Even that bastard Gendo" she said as walked up to the edge. "Well
I'll be joining you soon my friends."
"Are sure that's necessary Miss Soryu?"
Asuka was so surprised by the voice behind her that when she turned
around she slipped and fell from the skyscaper roof. Realizing that she was
falling to her death Asuka closed her one good eye and waited for the impact
that would brake every bone in her body.
       It never came.
Instead she felt someone grab her arm. Then she felt her body start to
decelerate. When she opened her eye she found herself looking at a women
holding her arm. The women appeared to be Ritsuko's age with long black hair
and large brown eyes. She had odd marks on her face and forehead and was
floating. FLOATING!
As Asuka and the women gently landed on the ground; Asuka backed as far
away as she could from the strang woman.
"W-Who....What....what the hell are you?" asked a very nervous Asuka.
"I am the goddess Skuld, I've come to help."
"H-help. HELP! YOUR BIT FUCKIN LATE! HOW YOU PLAN TO HELP THIS!" Asuka
yelled waving her hand at the destruction around them.
"By granting you a wish; but only one wish." stated Skuld calmly.
"YEAH RIGHT! YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE PAST!" yelled Asuka.
"How do you know you can't change the past? I have a sister who gets
trouble for doing that all the time." said Skuld.
"Listen. I wish I could prevent all this from happening; BUT I CAN....."
Asuka stopped when the symble on the women's forehead flared. Asuka then
dove for cover as rubble and junk flew around the woman in a whirlwind. The
woman's head arched up and beam of light shot from it straight to the sky.
After whirlwind had calmed down the woman look straight at Asuka.
      "Your wish has been approved."
"What do you mea....." was all Asuka a got out before she was engulfed
in light.
Wnen her vision cleared Asuka found that she was no longer in Tokyo 3.
Instead she was in an emepty lot. Around the lot were nice small houses.
Looking on the ground Asuka saw a thrown out newspaper that looked
somewhat recent. Picking the paper up she began to read.
       "The Namera Gazette.......November 1st, 1997!...."
That was as far as she got befor pain, exhaustion, and shock fanally
made her pass out.

To Be Continued, Maybe.

Notes:
1)I don't when I'll continue this. I'd like to finish the Ranma 1/2 fanfic
that I'm currently working on. However I already have ideas for part 2 and it
may be out soon.

2)You can probley guess what Asuka ultimate goal is. Some of the idea's I
have for future parts (If I get around to writing them) include: Asuka's
interaction with the cast of Ranma 1/2, A cameo or two (by ether teenage
Misato, Ritsuko, or Kaji), maybe crossovers with other series (Nuku Nuku
comes to mind) and trouble when SEELE finds out about Asuka (probely thinking
she's some eco terrorest) and tries to stop her.

3)Anyone who think they have a good idea for a part (or a better title) or
would like to write parts for the series can reach me at: JLee100441@aol.com.

If your reading this line you may have read the whole thing for which you
have my thanks.
