No, you don't understand. This isn't a "Ranma watches over Akane" 'fic.
This is a Ranma/Teen Angel Crossover. In case you don't watch the show, here's 
how the first episode basically goes.

Marty DePolo and Steve Boshemp are hanging out in Steve's room.
Marty starts comparing various women 
Marty:Pamela Anderson, or Pamela Lee?
Steve: Aren't they the same?
This goes on for a while
Marty starts complaining about being hungry.
Steve: There's some old spaghetti in the fridge.
Marty: Nah. Too far.
Steve: Well, I think there's some Fritos under my bed.
Marty starts rummaging under the bed.
Marty: Ooh! A BURGER!
Steve: How old do you think it is?
Marty: Well, it's June. And this is a Halloween Wrapper. Hey, dare you to eat 
it.
They argue for a while, ending with Steve daring Marty to eat the burger.
Marty: Oh, fine. I'll take a bite of it. <Shrugs> 
Marty says the all time number one famous last words.
Marty: Besides, what's it going to do? Kill me? <Laughs and takes a single 
bite> 
I'm sure you can picture the rest of the scene.
Anyway, Rod, God's cousin, (a giant floating head) talks to Marty.
Marty has a good heart, but he is always causing trouble. Since Marty is under 
18(Marty: ALL RIGHT! TRIED AS A MINOR!!!!) he has to be the
guardian angel for Steve, who is going through a tough time.
Anyway, only Steve can see Marty. Marty has been given powers (Check it out! 
Retractable Wings!) and basically screws up a whole buch of things, which get 
fixed in the end like all good sitcoms. 
Anyway, If somebody did do this, it wouldn't be a "Ranma watches over Akane". 
It would be a "Ranma screws up Akane's life while trying to help her and then 
something happens and he fixes everything" 'fic.

Oh yeah, here's more insane fic ideas

Herb suddenly wants to be Ranma's best friend.

Ranma puts on Dr. Tofu's glasses and starts acting weird when Akane's around.

All the swimming pools in Japan are suddenly filled with Nyanniichuan,
(including that frozen one in the Charlotte cup story) Guys check in, but they 
don't check out.

One of Cologne's spells go wrong and Ranma winds up changing gender every 
three seconds.
