I am not against all MSTs.  Some of my favorite reviews are those by

the

Muhoshin family (as transcribed by RPM), which are always a treat to

read.

However, MSTs of such quality are increasingly a minority.

This is perhaps why I've taken to doing summaries rather than MST-type
things.  After a few of them, it got to be A) too much effort, and B)
it was getting too dull (not the story, my MST).  Most of the fics here 
aren't capable of having every line MSTed.  Not every paragraph screams 
for a callback.  So I went with a sort of roundtable thing.

As for Hotaru, well...Made of Stone came first.  Plus I find it more
interesting for me to argue with myself, as Hotaru sometimes represents
the other half of my personality.

However, the main reason I use Hotaru is 'cause it's fun!  And we're not 
going away!  The opinions represented in these C&C things are meant to
help the author, I'm not just doing it to be silly...
