Subject: [FFML] [Idea: SMoon] Ragnarok (plus an A!MS comment)

I was just reading a book on Norse mythology, and thinking of maybe 

writing

a story with Sailor Senshi based on the Norse gods.  Eventually, I 

reached

the part about Ragnarok (for those who don't know, the Norse "final
battle"), and read that, prior to the final battle, the world was going 

to

experience Fimbulvetr, the "winter of winters".

       HEY!  In Sailor Moon, didn't the world freeze over for most of 

the 

time up until the 30th Century?  What would the Sailor Moon version of 
Ragnarok be like?  Who wants to see this, and are there any ideas on 

how I 

could expand it?  

       The obvious sticking point is Crystal Tokyo.  I can think of 

three

possible ways to involve Crystal Tokyo - (1) Ragnarok takes place 

before 

Crystal Tokyo is built, (2) There are two possible futures - Crystal 

Tokyo

or Ragnarok, (3) The creation of Crystal Tokyo precedes Ragnarok, and 

the

city (along with the rest of the world) is (obviously) in great danger 

of

being destroyed.

The time after Ragnarok is supposed to be one of unending peace and 
harmony, ruled by the most gentle and just of the gods--Sounds like the 
``classic'' description of CT to me, so I'd suggest (1).  Of course, 
that gives you a predefined ending, but any Norse mythos story is gonna 
have that....

       While we're on Norse mythology, concerning A!MS:  Many writers 

say

that Urd, Belldandy, and Skuld are the goddesses of the Past, Present, 

and

Future, respectively, but the book I was looking at ascribes different 

roles

to them.  These are - 
       Urd: Fate
       Verdandi*: Necessity 
       Skuld: Being
I'm not angry about the mistake (if it is one), this is just an 

interesting

tidbit of info I found.

The fanfic roles get confused with those of Clotho, Lachesis and 
Atropos, the Greek Fates.

* The Japanese phonetics for "Verdandi" and "Belldandy" are identical, 

so

it's easy to see how the spelling mistake was made.
