This idea just popped into my head one day, right after I noticed how
similarly Shampoo and the Jusenkyo Guide spoke... it's just twisted. This
is my first posted fic, though (The FKC/Ranma crossover isn't quite done
yet), so I'd appreciate it if you folks would C&C it, or at least comment.

What The...
A Ranma 1/2 Shortfic by Adam Conover

The Jusenkyo Guide frowned at the unmoving girl lying in the
spring in front of him. He sighed deeply. In the last ten years, only a
few people had managed to drown in the pools, considering that most of
them had already been imprinted over the last few thousand years. It was
still a shock when it happened, though. Especially since it had been his
fault this time...
He thought back to just a few minutes before, when he had been
holding the ladder by the pool. The girl had said something to him... he
had turned around... too quickly...
The Guide turned and began to walk away from the pool, when he
suddenly slipped in a puddle of water that had splashed onto the bank when
the girl fell in. He fell backwards into the pool with a tremendous
*SPLOOSH!*
As he drifted down to the bottom of the pool his only thought was
one of extreme shock. In all his years as Guide, he had never once come
into contact with the waters of the cursed training ground. He shouldn't
have been so pre-ocupied with thoughts of that girl... he had gotten
careless. He felt his form changing, getting larger in some places, and
smaller in some other, very noticible ones...
He sputtered to the surface, and scrambled out of the pool. He
then quickly took account of his new form. It, of course, exactly matched
the purple-haired girl who was still lying in the pool. He blinked. This
would have to take some getting used to...
He attempted to walk out of the training spring area, but had
trouble walking to do his unfamiliarity with his new form, and so didn't
get far before slipping on -another- puddle of water, falling into a
different pool.
<Not again!> He slowly sank to the bottom, feeling his form change
and shrink even more than it had the first time.
A small white and purple cat crawled laboriously out of the pool,
and shook itself dry. It walked, bedraggled, towards the hut, and managed
to tip over the teapot of hot water that it always kept handy.
He felt his form changing again... growing taller... but not
enough.
He was the purple-haired girl again.
"This... not good," he said in Japanese.
*end*

Yes, I know... and, no, I don't this is worth continuing. :P :)
