Funny.  This worked out the same way as my Mihoshi/Kiyone sketch.
I can only wonder, is this the reason why Ranma liked Akane?  

Why would his being a sanjiyan mean he liked her?

Well, I have done the Ranma-Sanjiyan Ryouga-Wu thing. Or the first
chapter, anyway. It's floating around my webpage. But go ahead, mine's
an alternate/fusion, believe me, when you see the second chapter(coming
soonish, just like TKoTS is) you'll know that yours would be different enough.
