Just out of interest, where did you get the idea that the Cat-Fist can or
can't stop chi acilities? I'd be very interested in knowing this.

The Neko-ken cuts through solid things like a cat. I don't see it
stopping Roaring Lion bullet or Mouko Takabisha. Just doesn't seem
logical. Even if you cut an energy blast to pieces, it still will bake you
with the smaller bits.
The shreding power of the Neko-ken is prety extreme. It might not
cut the Energy blasts so well, but it would probably disperse it into a dozen
smaller bits. And since they would scatter to the sides and the Chi
techniques generate kinetic impact rather than thermal force, they wouldn't
cause much trouble for the Neko-ken wielder. The people near him perhapse,
but not him.

Anyway, when the Aes Sedi were trying to wrap Ranma with Air they are
using soldified air (or so it seems to me from the descriptions).
In the manga Ranma shreds Cologne's Shark-Fist which is
solidified water so...

Good point.

No, of course not :)

Thinking he would just take it _severely_ underestimates his intelligence.
Also doesn't balefire burn the target's thread from the pattern and
couldn't Ranma be consider to be from outside the pattern?

Nope. If Ranma was outside the pattern, he'd be trapped like the Dark
one, unable to effect anything. If he's walking around talking to people
and eating food, then he's in the Pattern. He may twist it into knots,
though :)
Although the fact that he is from outside might mean his thread is
different from the rest of the threads. Which would make it very hard to
effect.

Alternate questions:

Will ranma willingly allow his male half to be gentled (if he can
channel)? Will this affect his female half?

I doubt Ranma would allow that anymore than any other male channeler.

It would depend on if he knows what he's letting himself in for.

True.
