Er... maybe. But you have to remember that the Japanese word "Usagi"
literally -means- "rabbit". (I was able to empirically test this when some
Japanese toddlers who spoke not a word of English came to my house. n.n
Yes, they -did- enjoy the dubbed Sailor Moon episodes (and whacked me when
I had to stop it to rewind the tape! Ow!))

In any case, it most likely (I mean, Usagi isn't a normal Japanese name,
is it?) seems as odd to them to have a person name "Usagi" as it is to us
to have a person named "Bunny". n.n

And it wasn't how it was translated into his native language...
apparently, the non-US dubs were done differently, in which Serena was
called Usagi. :)

Everyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in any way. n.n

The fact, by the way, that Usagi was called Bunny didn't detract from the
fic for me at all... I didn't mind it too much. :)
