As I was mulling over how to continue with my most recent EVA
piece, I realized that I hadn't seen very many fics written in first
person, including most self-inserts. Is that really the way most pieces
are written, or is it just me?
I purposefully wrote OMB from a first person perspective, mostly because
the entire fic was supposed to be "Chris's Lateral Thinking Theatre". As
successful as it seems to be, I find myself missing the third person POV,
simply because it allow ALOT more freedom.
Third person is much easier to write, wince you can get inside any
character's head. In First person, you're limited to the main character,
UNLESS you want to switch focus every once in a while. It's a mixed curse.
There's probably more reasons but you get the idea.
