Hey, I remember a discussion a while back about dark fic ideas where no-one
went insane or where no-one died.  I've been thinking about it, off and on,
and I recently came up with one.  It works out this way:

Ryouga and Ukyo get married.  At the wedding, Ryouga's mother doesn't show
up.  A couple years later, at the birth of their child, Ranma and co. find
Ryouga's mother and brings her to visit her kid.  When she shows up,
everyone is shocked to discover that Ryouga and Ukyo's mother is the same
(and the rest of the fic would be the problems that this creates- moral
debates about the legitimacy of the child since the parents are
half-brother and half-sister, whether or not they should stay married,
things like that.  I had no idea how to end it, however, and that, along
with the fact I'm not really into writing something as depressing as I
invision this would be)

This idea came to me because I was thinking about the remarkable similarity
between the two of them, even to the point of emotional motivation (they
both feel undying unrequited love for someone who is unavailable) and
fighting style (multiple throwing weapons, being spatula and flour bombs
for Ukyo and bandana for Ryouga, along with a heavy bashing weapon, being
Ukyo's Giant Spatula and Ryouga's overwieght umbrella).  I normally like
WAFFs which set them up as a couple, and hate darkfics where something bad
happens to them, but... well, I don't remember a time when we meet either
mother of the two of them, and it just made sense for such a thing to
happen to them...

Anyway, I'll never be able to write this myself, but if someone else wants
to take a crack at it...
