As far as I know the groups not moderated. What gets archived may be, but

far as I know about the NG itself, postings should go up about 5 to 15

minutes 

after posting them.  You may whant to check with your ISP.

You're damn wrong. RAAC is *very* moderated. When you post *anything* to
RAAC, it goes to the moderation program, which sends you an automatic reply
stating your article was received, and then it does one of two thinbgs with
it. If you've posted to RAAC before, it sends it to your assigned
moderator. If not, it assigns you a moderator and sends your posts to
him/her. 

Postings to RAAC go up 5 to 15 minutes after being posted?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! In what *UNIVERSE*, pal?  Usually takes at least 3
days, if you're *lucky*.
