I have an idea. If God wanted the 3'rd impact to happen, then Shinji and
Asuka can be the new Adam and Eve. If that so, then the God should give
them a tree (like in the Eden) that would give them food......or
something like that (maybe a garden that they would call Eden....).

THANK YOU! Nice idea...heheheh. (Writer starts mubling incoherently to
himself. ^_^) 

What the hey, I'm feeling inspired, so I'll be nice and give you guys an
inspiratoinal fic:

Note: This takes place about 7 years after the end of EVA, not the movie, the
tv anime. Both Shinji and Asuka are 21. 


Perspiration rolled off Asuka's forhead as her breathing came ragged. The
pain was almost too much to bear, but she had to continue. 

"Ok, it's starting to come out! We're almost there! Keep pushing!"

Taking a deeper breath, she screamed and did what Shinji had said. Another
push, the pain was greater than almost being eaten alive by the other EVAs
all those years back. 

Another push and the screams got even louder. 

"PUSH!" yelled Shinji.

She did so and her hands were starting to bleed from clenching her fists. She
was about to pass out! She couldn't take this anymore.

"Just one more will do! PUSH!"

Mustering up all her remaining strength, he pushed that one last time. Then
collasped. Next, she heard something else. It was crying. But not from
Shinji. Leaning up, she saw exactly what she thought it was. 

A baby. The first human being to be born after the Third Impact. After
cutting the umblical cord, Shinji wrapped the baby in a cloth he had placed
nearby. Then, he crawled up to Asuka's side and sat, showing her the product
of human life. 

"Shinji.... is it..."

"The baby's alright. And it's a girl." Shinji said, smiling at her. Asuka
started to sob, but with a smile. She looked to the right to see the life
that she and Shinji brought into this world. By then, her breathing had
calmed and the pain was gone. 

Soon afterward, the baby had calmed and fell asleep. Asuka was no different.
>From what Shinji had found out. Both of them would need their rest. All the
while, Shinji would watch after both of them. 

The next morning, Asuka awoke to see the baby wrapped in a blanket, sleeping
in Shinji's arms. Even Shinji was asleep as well. She leaned over and
whispered.

"Shinji.... Shinji... wake up." he blinked a few times before his sleep was
interrupted.

"Ohayo." he said with tired eyes. 

"Shinji... may I?" she asked holding out her arms. He nodded and gently
placed the new life in her arms.

Making sure the baby was steady, she turned to Shinji. "Did you think of a
name?" she asked smiling.

"Well... I was figuring something around the lines of Kiboo(Hope)."
