Indeed. But I'd guess they go with the one time stream theory in Sailor Moon.
Otherwise Pluto really wouldn't need to give a damn about protecting the time
stream, since there would be infinite possibilities, so the right one would
happen.
Which reminds me: if there were an infinite number of time streams
in SM, would that mean that there is an infinite number of Sailor Plutos?
In that case the time gate would to be crowded at times. So that's one more
reason to belive that there's only one time stream. ^_^

Sorry, your argument is invalid.

What makes you think that a time gate can access _all_ existing time
streams? Remember, the time gate is a _time_ gate, not a dimension gate.
This would mean that all those alternate worlds are mutually isolated from
each other, so even if there are other universes, it wouldn't matter to a
given universe's Sailor Pluto, because she can only visit her own. I mean,
even if there are other planets, we should take care of our own, right?
Same principle at work here.

Even if SP can travel to other universes, she would still care about her
own because this is the only universe she's sure is Senshi-friendly! After
all, she might flee destruction of her own universe, only to find herself
in an "Urotsukidoji" (sp?) universe... wearing an abbreviated sailor suit.
Even if you _are_ a magical girl, this still sounds like a Mistake.

And keeping your own apartment in good repair is much less aggravating than
looking for a new one every few months.

No, even if she could go to another universe, Sailor Pluto would still be
obliged to give a damn about her own. For better or worse, her universe is
the one she has to give a damn about.
