The point isn't that the boy they love hates them.  It's that the only
reason he walks all over them is that he's so blinded by his love that he
doesn't even notice them lying in his way.

I actually wished that they had played up that part of the story more in
the OAV... the last few tapes deal a lot more with Ifurita (who I didn't
like at all in the OAV, have yet to see the TV series), Makoto, and the
Eye of God than with Nanami and Shayla, who were my favorite characters,
in any case... well, other than Alielle... but she didn't really have any
part in that now, did she? >;)

In any case, I just wish that they had emphasized Nanami and Shayla more.
