not part of my background.

You're ignoring 15 volumes of manga, not to mention all the chapters that 
haven't been complied yet. But that's aright, not your fault they haven't 
been translated yet.

(Besides, some of the events are

impossible or would have different consquences...If Aoshima took Belldandy 
to a
love hotel, Chris would probably be demonstrating just how sharp his
shield-swords are...on portions of Aoshima's anatomy.)<<

Belldandy can take care of herself well enough, long before Christ could 
show up.

What do y'all think?  Is that worth doing? Please, tell me!

While the OAV is based on the manga, you must bear in mind that they 
mutually contradict on certain facts. Go right ahead.
I've got 14 volumes of the manga and will be pleased to help you keep your 
facts straight.
