Ugh, yeah... I felt the same confusion as Mako...
And I also agree with the opinion of "does it matter, at all?" I enjoyed
the story about two youths with the weight of the world on their shoulders
- and having a bit of an adventure on the side. But I highly doubt they
"slept together." It's all in the way the viewer looks at the image. When I
saw that scene, I just figured the people on Yietta existed as a rather
sexually permissive culture... Heck - we see that kind of thing in Star
Trek all the time... Ilia of Delta, the Betazeds, and the most swingin'
giggalo of all space and time, Capt.Kirk!
But when it comes down to the story, anyone can speculate all they want.

PS: If anyone's wondering, my Patlabor/Ranma fic is *still* on hold - my
studies take precedence over my fanfics... (a failing grade on a mid-term
has a certain effect on a guy).

I'm of two connected opinions about this:
1 - It could go either way - Tita and Elysse might be lesbian, or might
not. (More on this in a moment)
2 - How much does it *matter* to the (original) story whether they are or
not?
