I'm fairly stalled right here. Looking for the right sort of Ryouga fics
to work from at the moment. "Ill met" is nice, maybe after a few more
chapters of that I can continue.

My name is Akane Tendo and my life has gotten very interesting lately.
First of all, my father Soun attempted to engage me to Ranma Saotome, a
boy so afraid of girls that he turns into one.
In order to escape this fate I took up a fake engagement with my best
friend Ukyou Kuonji. She isn't a boy but everybody else thinks she is.
And now we've run into somebody from Ranma's and Ukyou's past.

Ryouga looked at me suspiciously. "So this is your fiancee Ukyou?"
"Yes she's Akane Tendou, not that it's any of your business Ryouga."
Ukyou held her hand out to me and I took it, to protect her and Ranma's
secrets.
"Hey, she isn't much of a looker, but that's OK with me. Now, were's your
first fiancee?" Ryouga dismissed me with a shrug and turned to Ukyou.
"Akane is the first girl I've ever been engaged to."
Was that true? What had her relationship with Ranma been? Did she think
of him as a girl or a boy?
"Damn you! Why are you hiding the red-haired girl Ukyou? If you've left
her she must be all broken-hearted. She needs the arms of a man around
her to comfort her." Ryouga held up his fist.
I imagined Ranma's girl side embracing Ryouga and then the two boys waking
up in each other's arms and giggled.
"You think this's funny, don't you? Well, this is a matter between us two
guys. Last chance Ukyou, where is the red-haired girl?" Ryouga pointed
at Ukyou.
"I have no idea if she's anywhere at the moment." Ukyou released my hand
and moved to the side.
"Damn you!" Ryouga charged in.
Ukyou kicked Ryouga in the face and flipped back.
Ryouga didn't even slow down. He grabbed Ukyou's arm, gave it a vicious
twist and slammed her face into the wall. Cracks spread out on the wall
as Ukyou slumped to the ground.
Ryouga backed off to ready his next move.
I jumped in between them, in the stance Ranma had thought me. "Come on."
"Naw, I don't fight girls. But tell your boyfriend that he'd better have
an answer for me next time." Ryouga turned and walked away, he didn't
seem to feel any need to guard his back against me.
I stood there stunned, but turned at the sound of Ukyou's moan.
With Ukyou's good arm over my shoulder and my arm around her, we struggled
into Dr Tofu's office.
"What happened?" He asked. "Have you been fighting again Ukyou?"
"Yeah, sorry Doc."
"Let's see what I can do for you today." The doctor went to work. "Now,
this is going to hurt a bit."
I held Ukyou's free hand as Dr. Tofu snapped her other arm back into
place. She blinked back tears, but didn't cry out. I'd like to be as
brave as she is.
"I'll need to bandage up that eye for a few days, but it should be OK.
Nothing else seems to be serious. I've heard the strangest rumor. You
two are engaged?" Tofu set to work with bandages.
"That's right." I replied.
"But, you're both girls, last time I checked?" Tofu put Ukyou's arm into
a sling.
"Doc." Ukyou looked at him from her one good eye. "You promised to keep
that quiet."
"Yes, but Akane, you know?"
"That Ukyou's also a girl? Yes."
"If it's OK with you two it's none of my concern, but how do your parents
feel?"
"My father is delighted that his son has taken up his duties." Ukyou
replied coldly.
We got back to school in time for lunch. Ranma got up as we entered the
cafeteria.
"Ut'chan, Who did this to you?" Ranma glared at me.
"Ryouga beat Ukyou up." I replied.
"Ryouga... No, not again. It's starting up all over again. Why can't he
handle the truth?"
Ukyou put her good hand on Ranma's arm. "We tried telling him that the
girl was a part of you, body and soul, remember Ran-chan? He didn't like
that too much."
"I'll protect you Ut'chan. I'll stay with you as long as that thug is out
there." Ranma took Ukyou's hand in both of his.
"Ran-chan..." Ukyou seemed lost in thought as she looked into Ranma's eyes.
"Oh, you're going to stay with Ukyou all the time, and what about me?"
Damn! What does she want this time?
"Na-Na-Na-Na- Upperclassman Tendo!" Ranma stood shocked, like a deer in
the headlights.
"No need to be so formal with me dear." Nabiki wrapped her arms around
Ranma from behind and he shuddered.
"That's cruel!" I turned to her.
"I suppose it is. I guess I must be taking lessons from you little
sister. But, I'm just acting like a normal fiancee. It's not my fault if
father has picked a boy who's more feminine than I am." Nabiki pressed
herself against Ranma and sighed. "Say Akane, where's the switch?
Nothing I do seems to change him."
"Pervert!" I accused my sister. "You just want to see that cute girl
again."
"Who's a pervert? Ranma's all man, aren't you Ranma?" Nabiki turned
Ranma's chin with her hand to face her and he fainted.
Ukyou whispered "Kane no chikara ni nabiku"(1) to me as Ranma slid down to
the floor and I giggled.
"He's not going to be of much help is he?" I asked Ukyou. "Comeon Nabiki,
let's get him down to the nurse's office."
"I wouldn't say that, Ran-chan knows the ultimate fighting technique."
Ukyou helped turn Ranma over with her good hand.
"The one he took Kuno out with?" I grabbed Ranma by the arms, Nabiki took
ahold of his knees.
"No, better." Ukyou lead the way to the infirmary.
