Ok, other than the general consensus that people REALLY hate cliffhangers,
I'm getting a feeling that people really like this series.  That's good to
hear, so I'd thought I'd make a general response here:

Actually, well ... everybody hates cliffhangers, including me, but that
doesn't mean you shouldn't use them. The point in using cliffhangers is to
have people waiting eagerly for the resolution (ie, the next chapter), and
if you accomplish that, well, you'll have some mad people but they'll all
be guaranteed to read your next ch.

Ie ... *do* use cliffhangers (someone will probably kill me for saying this
^^).
