I doubt there are many people who would be willing to take the job. If
you are, I suggest you E-mail White Wolf and explain to him why he
should appoint you instead.
I've heard the Tybalt get's testy because of
RL... that's no excuse, if RL get's in the way then don't take it out on
the list. It would be like having a boss be very angry because of something
and then have then come into work and take it out on you. I doubt you'd
condone such action. Tybalt's philosphy as *I* see is that if he can yell
loud enough he'll scare the other people into submission, I wonder if he
ever considered politeness?
I think he *has* shown remarkable restraint, given some of the things
he's had to deal with. Hell, *I* would've booted the person who posted
the chain letter a couple of days ago, I suspect White Wolf would've too
(he's done it before for others), but Tybalt just gave him a polite
warning.
There are a few instances where he screams
"Read the FAQ" and all newbies and even older people should turn to find
answers to questions, however isn't there a general trend to pass over
instruction manuals? The FAQ could be compared to that a manual, although
not an excuse, would tend to explain why people don't read it.
"General trends" notwithstanding, it's everybody's responsibility to be
familiar with what's in the FAQ. That's not like asking people to read
through the entire RAAC archives; the FAQ takes maybe ten minutes to
read. At the very least, everybody should read the big bold warnings at
the top. DO NOT POST TEST MESSAGES! DO NOT POST CHAIN LETTERS! It
doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what these things mean. If
someone doesn't have enough consideration to pay attention to these few
simple things, they *ought* to get kicked IMO. The same with people who
post in *every* Spam thread even when they obviously have nothing to
say. Fanfic.com can't handle all of this kind of useless traffic.
I can't
respect someone who I dislike, Tybalt had to of known what he was getting
into so I don't think he should complain; if he's that disatisfied they
there is a simple solution find someone else to do it.
As I understand it, it's not Tybalt who's dissatisfied; rather that
people are dissatisfied with him.
As for your "simple solution", good luck finding anyone else who'd be
willing to put up with that job. You'll need it.
