Character Cursed form is...
Ranma About the same age as victim, grows up.
Pantyhose Same age as victim, not template, grows up.
Ryouga Same age as template, not victim, does not grow up.
How do you pick this one? P-chan is a small pig, which is a type of
pigmy pig, which is actually a pig iRL, if I remember correctly. It
is a little black pig that stays really small all its life, though
a piglet of that pig would be much smaller. So how could you tell
that it doesn't grow up? And how can you tell "same age as template,
not victim"?
Shampoo Same "cat-age" as victim, growth unknown.
Mousse Same "duck-age" as victim, growth unknown.
Genma Same age as template, not victim, growth unknown.
Here again - how can you tell, hm?
It seems like you're guessing here to make your theory fit, rather
than putting in the most likely theory -
Everyone gets a curse their age (unless it's specifically something
like Lucky got in "Spring of Drowned Child") ... Happi didn't become
the same age as the lump on his head, or anything.
And since the others are seen to grow, then everyone else must, too.
Lucky's age in his boy form would probably get older, too, if Lucky
doesn't die before he gets even older.
The most reasonable explanation is that everybody gets a curse that matches
their own personality (in form and effect) and the guide simply looks down,
notices whatever form they've turned into and pulls out a magic sign to
match. (Did he teach this skill to Genma? Honored customer, is neat skill
for non-human cursed form...)
No, I think Takahashi gave the curse to the characters to match the
personalities. Nothing at all to do with the pools.
The most REASONABLE explanation, in the Ranmaverse, is that they fell
were pushed/whatever into a random pool. Anything they splash onto a
part of their body, will grow on that part of their body (Tarou's
tentacles, Happi's twin lump on his head)... andone FULLY doused in
the spring will change into whatever was in the pool.
I'm sorry, but there's no way that the pools are "alive" or whatever,
and your theory seems to fall to pieces whith Herb and co, and again
with Saffron and co.
Do you mean to say that all animals used by the Musk Dynasty deserved
to be turned into human women? Does it match the personalities of the
animals?
Does the Akane curse match Kiima's personality? (I do not think so!)
Does being a mix-n-match bird/human match the personality of EVERY
SINGLE denizin of Mount Pheonix?
I'm sorry, but your theory falls down when multiple people all get
the same curse ... and when animals get cursed, too! You can't
possibly believe that every single person in a city have the same
personaility, and that many, MANY different animals all have the
same personality, too?
Also, your theory falls over because Kiima MADE Akaneniichuan so
she could turn into Akane. The pools are just magic springs that
gained a curse when someone drowned in them ... And whatever drowned
in there is the new form of whoever falls into the pool any time in
the future.
Jyusenkyou water isn't all of one type of magic that turns a person
who falls into the "personality"! Otherwise Kiima's plan would
never have worked!
And Herb does NOT have the same personality as Ranma, so he shouldn't
have been turned into a girl, by your theory ... yet he was.
Your theory is nice for fanfic writing, in an alternate Ranmaverse.
But in Takahashi's Ranmaverse, it falls over and dies rather quickly,
when you look at everyone (and everything) who's been transformed at
Jyusenkyou.
But, still, this is a topic about aging - and whoever falls into
any pool, their cursed form ages along with their real body!
Kun-chan...
