Sanzenin, hm? That brings up the question... who is this guy's
grandmother? I.e., who married Mikado?

If you wanna know my guess, note the fact that he's a gardener. I
suspect that someone Rose to the occasion... :)

BTW, I enjoyed this story greatly. The gardener's perspective was the
perfect way to tell the story, cluing us into what happened in a subtle
way, without the heavy angst of getting it from Ranma's POV. Well done!
