Not true; yesterday Microsoft released the second public beta for
general use.  Hundreds of thousands of people have downloaded this
newest version in the past 24 hours, which is why I felt compelled to

Well, there *is* a public release.  If you mean "non-beta" release, then
yes, I certainly hope there won't be a problem.  :)

However I have noticed differences when viewing web pages between
navigator gold and IE 3.02.  Line size differences etc.

Yes, I've noticed that too.  One reason I keep my web pages simple is so
that there is as few of these kind of problems as possible.
