I _think_ that Miaka and Tamahome were reincarnated into the FY world.  So
the boy(who's name I've now totally blanked on) is really Tamahome.  I

6. Basically, very well thought out. I think you got Miyaka right on. I 
really don't think she would have ever given up on Tamahome, just like
she never gave up on Yui-chan.

This is true.  Even those of us(like me) who haven't seen all of FY yet... 
If you haven't seen ANY of Fushigi Yuugi, shame on you!  Go find a local
anime club/fansub distributor and get a copy.  Or get it from SilverWynd or
Tomodachi or someone else on the net.  All these people can be found in the
fan sub section of the Pike(http://www.anipike.com).
