Hah hah.  I write in pure silence, no noise to interrupt in my thinking.
Then I turn on my computer, reboot the computer to dos, and boot up word
perfect 6.0, and start typing away.  I will look at an outline that I have
written, or in some cases, I'd just type from memory.  But despite these
intentions, I usually don't write something related to what I wanted to
write the first time.
