First of all, I apologize to Tybalt and White Wolf for all the spam
I've generated this week.
Now...I have two things to say right now:
1) Work on Faux Existence part two is progressing nicely. I have the
storyline in mind, I've gotten the first flashback scene placed
nicely, as well as some suspense elements in which Megumi is about to
become more than background noise. No release is likely for this
weekend, but I promise a release as soon as possible.
2) Which is where I have a bit of bad news.
I haven't spoken of this on the FFML (at least I don't think I have),
but anyone who knew me from the rec.arts.anime groups on Usenet knows
about the vision troubles I've had, and that I had to take a leave
from the Internet for two weeks at the beginning of February to
recover from cataract surgery.
Well, on Tuesday, June 10, I am once again undergoing cataract
surgery. I am very anxious and relieved that my vision will finally
be restored to normal and I will be able at long last to get on with
my life.
However, this also means I will be absent for at least one week from
the FFML.
I am NOT going to unsubscribe, as it's possible I'll be capable of
checking my e-mail even while recovering. The last time I went
through this I had one bad eye and one healing eye. This time I have
one good eye and will have one healing eye. Therefore, I don't
anticipate as lengthy an absence as the last time. Unfortunately,
this will cause a fairly significant delay in the release of part two
of Faux Existence, but frankly, I am more concerned about getting my
damn eyesight back than I am about getting this fanfic out. As soon
as I've recovered from this surgery, I will work overtime to finish
up Faux Existence.
Wish me luck, everyone!
