I must disagree with this- I would expect Ranma to be even a better
fighter. He would be lacking the grueling training his father gave him,
yes, yet he would have an even better teacher: the streets. He could
become a really great fighter by living on his own. After all, isn't the
current Ultimate Fighting Champion a guy who applied street-brawling to
Jujitsu? I'd expect him to have lots of fighting experience in all
areas, and be tough as hell.

You mean the MEAN streets of Tokyo? I don't see much chance for a real
good challenge their unless he was able to anger some VERY powerful
people and even then his training would be short (sorry kid, your making
too much of a distrubance <BANG>. If you want THAT kind of expierence
and training for the boy, have his father die in China. The journey for
a young boy through the wilds of mythical china would be QUITE an
expierence, to say nothing of early meetings with Taro and Mousse and
the Amazons. Then have him take all that training to Hong Kong to find a
ship to get back home. THOSE are some mean streets ;)

Actually, this is a pretty good idea for a fic in and of itself.
