Subject: [FFML][You can probably guess what this is]Spam is evil

I realize I haven't been on the FFML that long, but I personally think
that we could do without the heavy amount of Spam.

I keep hearing about the people who do mass-deletion for most of the
spam (so do I; even the ones that I'm guilty of initiating). Some of
it is lively and intriguing debate, but it's getting out of hand.

One of the negative things I have about living in Japan (in this
sense, mind you) is because I live 13-17 hours timewise than the
majority of the list, I'm getting bombarded with 200+ messages per
day. I don't have the advantage of living on shore, being assigned to
ship (why I use a Rocketmail acct vice one from AT&T Japan, NTT
Telesys, or DoCoMo Compys), and I'm not bombarding my "personal" or
NIPRNET (military) addresses with this. In short, I do mass-dels, and
unfortunately, I'll accidentally canx someone's hard-written fic or a
"good" spam that raises a valid point.

Basically, If we could nuke the spam, we'd ALL probably rest a
teeny-tiny bit easier.
Just a thought or two...million.
