I just had a strange revolation.
Minna: in English this means "Everyone"
ko: suffex that (from what I understand) stands for "wife". (I'm
basing this on the fact that Mamoru always calls Usagi "Usako".)
So does that mean that when litteraly translated, Minakos name means
"Everyones wife"?
Actually, -ko is just a common suffix for female names. If there is any
other signifigance to the suffix, I've never heard of it.
the "-ko" suffix means "child" - the closest English analogue that Zen
has been able to find is something along the lines of "little"
ie: Suzuko = "little bell"
And Minako's name is a corruption of the japanese word for Venus "binasu"
bi can also be pronounced as ve and su can be ko. So the meaning of her
name is simply, "Venus". And still no one figured out her ID....
Heh... if the hairstyles won't give it away, **nothing** will. ^_^
Zen no Itan-sha
(Geez, Mina! Zen just realized! Sailor V has the same little birthmark
that you do, right on her cute little... **slap** Gomen. But it *is* a
really weird coincidence, don't you think?)
