So my question is this:

What do you do to get in the mood for Fanfic Writing?

I get an idea. I turn on some music, usually whatever
I feel like listening to. The music does change the
tone of the fic I'm writing...Pretty Hate Machine gives
me a hectic fic, Red Alert Counterstrike CD gives
a smooooth feel, Notorious BIG makes them more
naughty, etc etc.

Shut all the doors and put on the headphones,
so no one will bother me. And get everyone out.
I can't write when people are watching.

Then I write it all in one sitting, or as much as
possible. I'll come back the next day and write
another big block. I can't write effective
melodrama like Lawson cause I don't have the
patience. God knows, I've tried over and over.
I had a great (but melodramatic) fanfic idea that
has never been released because of this.

My fanfics suck because I write them this way,
unpolished and with holes you can poke a sawed-off
through. But it's either this way or I never get it
done at all.
