So my question is this:
What do you do to get in the mood for Fanfic Writing?
Sometimes, when I'm not in the mood, I can get myself intot he mood by listening
to music. It pretty much puts me in a certain mood, whether happy, sad, or
whatever. When I'm in that mood, I write about it. I guess I vent my emotions
through my writing.
[Shameless plug] I wrote the 'A memorable past' series while listenin' to
Marmalade Boy in the background. I was listenin' to track 6 of 'Marmalade Boy
Best Album' CD when I wrote 'em. I'm actually listenin' to it _right now_.
Think about it before you answer, you may even want to get in the
mood before writing the response. The various answers we get may
enlighten you, astound you, or maybe even inspire you.
I think I have one the oddest way of writin'. I jus' sit down in front of my
computer and write as I go along. The ideas pop into my head as I write. I
almost never have a plotline to follow. I only have a general direction I would
like the story to go in, like 'Ranma will die at the end ;)' or 'Ranma will meet
his mom', and that's it. As to how I write about that happens, that's bein'
written durin' the fanfic.
Also, if I'm not in the mood, I don't force myself to write. My 'fic will always
be here, and I'll always be here, so there's no rush. If I'm forced to write,
I'll probably do a lot worse than if I hadn't. I guess that's why I suck at
writin' essays since there's always a deadline ;)
