This was great!
I wholeheartedly agree!
I for one really liked the way Nodoka was portrayed.
Yup. I know someone else here mentioned it before, but Nodoka's
portrayal in this story is very reminiscient of the Nodoka in "Paint It
Black" (whose author's name eludes me for the time being). Yet, not
quite, as I find this Nodoka much more tragic than PIB's.
Too often she's used as a plot device, as someone for the author to
talk through and whip the characters into shape.
It is, indeed, a welcome divergence from conventions. As it stands, I'd
love to see her get her hands on Genma. Here is a woman who has lost
everything: her family, her honor, and thus her reason for living. All
through no fault of her own. Seeing her get some form of redemption, even if
it is merely petty revenge, would put my feelings for Nodoka at ease.
Oh yeah. And I don't have too high an opinion of Genma, either. :)
BTW, I agree with you that a Shampoo-Mousse relationship probably
wouldn't work.
Heh. :) If you said otherwise, the Shampoo fans on the ML (which,
incidentally, seem to be in abundance nowadays) would descend upon you like
vultures and pluck your bones clean.
I know which character I think would be good for Mousse, but I ain't saying
who until I get a chance to use the idea myself. You can't have it! It's
mine! :-)
Spoilsport... >_<
