Remember, a Trill retains the memories of each previous host  (the outer

body)

and that the Trill is not the outer body but slug like symbiont within. 

The

fact that the outer body is male or female does not matter to them any

more

than at would to you  or me if I wore a blue shirt or a brown one.

Yeah, yeah, I know.  Somewhere around the liver or something, I think. 
Besides, you would really have to have a radical definition of "gay".  By
your arguments, when Ranma is in female form, s/he is "gay", but when back
to normal, he isn't.  So, is he gay, or not?
