I've got a few 'fics I'm working/Thinking on, and I wanted to see if
anyone would
be interested in seeing them finished and posted, so here are the
synopses:
	The 'fic that preys most on my mind would most likely be an novella in
chapter form, mixing the main characters of Ranma 1/2 with the
Union/Alliance
continuum of C.J.Cherryh (An awesome author, I do recommend her), the
Dark Horse
Dirty Pair universe, and the Magus from Marvel Comics.  I'm not sure of
the particulars
(I've only written the prologue so far) but it should start in Cherryh's
universe,
with the Ranma cast un-cursed and on the run from Union military.  After
a blind
jump, their ship is thrown into the world of the Dirty Pair.  The crew
gets infected
by the Magus at some point before running into the Lovely Angels, but
are saved from
near-certain death by absorption when Dr. Tofuu re-engineers the Magus'
techno-virus.
The re-engineering essentially gives everyone a sort of Jyuusenkyo
curse, which is bad,
but curbs the virus' need to absorb their hosts, which is good. 
Eventually the Ranma
crew, piloting a now-unique ship and wielding strange powers, is
contacted by a splinter
group of the Bureau of Technological Regulation, itself a splinter of
the WWWA.  The
BTR has finally gone all-out, openly challenging the WWWA-proper for
control of the
human universe.  The BTR has incredible tech at its disposal, but about
half of the
BTR has split back to the WWWA and is fighting the rebel Bureau
seperately from
the WWWA's troops and Trouble Consultants.  Essentially, Ranma and Co.
get caught
up in a last-ditch attempt to thwart the rebel BTR who have laid siege
to a massive
trade-port station, there is much confusion, and I haven't yet decided
how the whole
thing ends. whew!  That's my main focus.
	My second focus is about an otaku, actually a surveyor, whose life has
gone
straight to hell.  When Ryouga stumbles past while this guy is on a job,
he decides
to give up his whole life and follow Ryouga back to Nerima, figuring
that anyone
in proximity to the lost boy will get dragged along on whatever
pan-dimensional path
Ryouga follows and eventually end up in the Ranma Universe.  Too bad
Ryouga ends up
passing the cursed springs, heh heh.  While Ryouga is setting up camp in
the valley
of Jyuusenkyo, our hero stumbles off a cliff.  He lands in the spring of
drowned girl,
of course, but not being nearly as superhuman as other characters, he
gets a concussion.
The poor schlemiel eventually falls into a special enchanted spring, the
spring of 
curse reversal.  Now his hot-water form is a girl, cold-water form is
his original form.
Concussed, confused, reeling and wretched, our bedraggled hero conks out
right at the edge
of Ryouga's campsite, his (her?) memory mostly gone.  Ryouga and the
Jyuusenkyo guide
decide that Ryouga should care for her, since she speaks japanese
(convenient thing about
concussed, amnesiac characters: I get to decide what they remember) and
is cursed.  Ryouga
nurses her back to health and trains her in the very basics of martial
arts as they
slowly make their way back to Nerima.  The now-girl, not remembering
much of her previous
life and convinced by Ryouga that her female form is her true form,
forms a romantic
attachment towards the pigman.  Things start to get hairy when the our
hero (ine)
discovers that while her female side is suffering from severe amnesia,
her(his) male
half is recovering.  Basically, there are now two diverging
personalities within one
body: An angsty, angry, wise-ass jerk hetero guy, somewhat similar in
depression-factor to
Ryouga but with Nabiki's wit, and a more gentle, somewhat confused
blank-slate hetero
gal, sort of a mix between Ukyou's attitude with some Kasumi thrown in. 
The guy
decides, since he was practically suicidal anyhow, to give his female
alter-ego
free reign, telling everyone that he is the product of falling into the
spring of 
drowned jerk (or some such thing.)  Although I haven't done much in the
way of blocking
out the story, I do have some thoughts on themes... the main character's
male side
trying to give up life and allow his female side to be the dominant
form, but still
struggling to maintain his self.  Also the female side, along with
Akane, convincing
Ranma to go all-out when sparring with girls has some unforseen
consequences.  I don't
expect this to be a 'New Character Solves All Problems' 'fic, and it's
not a self-
insertion fic either... just something that coallesced into a vague
story in my head.
Opening scene and scene with Ranma dealing with the problems of training
a head-strong
and stubborn young martial artist are written.
Tentative Title: 'Just Passing Through', nowhere near concrete.
	The third fic which I've actually done some writing on involves the
characters
of Urusei Yatsura with Ranma (can you see a trend here?) when Ran, fed
up with Lum, attempts
to travel back in time to ensure that Lum and Ataru never meet, a
fitting revenge for Lum's
theft of Rei.  Unfortunately, Ran's ship/timemachine is destroyed in the
attempt, leaving
Ran stranded just before the fateful Invader invasion.  Due to
manipulation by Ran to keep
Ataru and Lum apart, the computer which is had previously chosen Ataru
as Earth's champion
against the Oni instead chooses Saotome Ranma.  Pursued by Men In Black,
unaware as yet of
the horror which has befallen the world, Ranma and Genma flee China to
the only place they
think might be safe: Soun Tendou's Dojo.  Of course, the government
agents are waiting for
them.  Ranma is dragooned into defeating Lum in a game of tag, and the
rest is to be
decided.  I've got the prologue and nifty intro written, but nothing
else.  Tentative
Title: 'Ran-chan and...Ran-chan?!'
	One other little idea: Gosunkugi gets scouted by Mishima H.I., on the
basis
of various college-entrance exams and his previous successes with
cybernetics and
robotics (some I made up, but see his 1-hour battlesuit from the
manga-this guys
got the skills).  As an intern at Mishima, Gos has clearance, money, and
access; Nabiki
can't be far behind.  I see a certain cool business relationship turning
into something
more as Gosunkugi, fitter and better-rested by order of his employers,
gets a chance
to really shine.  I'm in the 'Nabiki ain't so bad' school of thought,
plus, who can't
like a geeky little guy who still has the guts to go in against the best
martial artists
in the world to win the affection of the girl he likes.  I think this'll
be set after
the end of the Manga, so Nabiki'll be a senior, Gos a junior, both still
in high school.
Also, I'm thinking of throwing in a little Kunou-Mousse
rivalry/comraderie.  I can
just imagine a losers-only poker game: Kunou, Mousse, Gosunkugi, and
Tsubasa air out
grievances about Ranma over chips, beer, and some 5-card stud.  With the
Sapporo Ichiban
comes looser tongues, and eventually Mousse starts imprecating Kodachi,
forcing Kunou to
defend her, then Kunou insults Shampoo, raising Mousse's ire.  One thing
leads to another,
and Kunou agrees to try his hand at winning Shampoo's, while Mousse is
finagled into
taking on the thorny problem of dating the Black Rose.  I think I'll
throw in Ukyou getting
Shinosuke, now that he's cured of his mortal wound and can (as I
understand it) stop
drinking the water of life, thereby restoring his memory.  Of course
Ryouga will end
up with Akari.  This story *will* likely see the resolution of most of
the relationships,
hopefully with some odd twists.  No title as of yet.
	Anyhow, these are things I've started and/or given some heavy thought.
