Thanks - then I'll post parts of it whenever I have time.Yeah... uhm, I
know of the Animated Movie (which rocks and, IMHO, makes the Van Damme film
look like a B-movie).

Well, that's because it *was* a B-movie. And that's rating it nicely.

And I've also seen some of the V-series (*wonders how
it sounds in the new dub version...*). But to date, there hasn't been
anything featuring characters of the Alpha series.

Which is a shame, IMHO. Darkstalkers has anime now, so how about giving the
Alpha team some screen time, eh?

My story deals with the back story of Sakura of SFA 2 and depicts her
in situations such as training for the first time - imitating what she
witnessed at a street fight involving Ryu... I'm also deathly afraid of
portraying a young girl in a first-time fighting situation building up
enough ki to launch a fireball! Just doesn't seem reasonable (i.e.: what to
do? what to do?...). ^_^

Sounds good. Don't worry about topicality, there's already been a couple of
SFA stories posted and an SFIIV story or two. I've considered doing
something with Sakura myself, but I'd end up making it a love story. (I may
still. I'm bad that way.) In any case, don't worry too much about your
story. There's a lot of room to play around with her character (she's not
exactly the most "fleshed out" person) so you can pretty much do what you
want. If you're still afraid of her being able to launch fireballs, give
her some martial arts training ("I wanna be a fighter!") *then* have her
watch Ryu in action ("Ooh! I wanna be Ryu!")

Anyway, it sounds interesting and fun. Write away, I'll read it at least.
