Well, I proposed the plot some time ago, and it fit the characters,
especially when Urd is always looking for two people that really love each
other, not about who is the best match for who, or that people should be
together because only one person in the relationship decided that.  As far
as she knows, Ranma is into these four relationships because he has been
forced into it.  Ukyou's letter to her had her reply that she was the best
for him.  However, with this recent 'evidence', which is Urd's famous 
'jump to a conclusion' method, she feels that 'Ranko' is the one for
Ranma.

And the potions effects have some far reaching effects...
