Add to the list

Appleseed(Darkhorse/SP, complete?)

Well, besides the ones listed I suggest you look at
Masume Shirow's Orion(Dark Horse/SP, complete GN) (But this one
takes a bit of concentration to understand,
                      so be careful.)
Masume Shirow's Dominion(Dark Horse/SP, GN) (Careful, the humour is
different to the anime, a bit dryer I think.)

Inuyasha was one listed before, by Rumiko Takahashi. Apparently it's
going to be released in English (VIZ, of course) around April or so.
I've been reading it in Shonen Sunday, I'd say it's ok(nothing
incredible), so you may want to look at that when it comes out.

Oh yeah... Adolf by Osamu Tezuka. Available in three GNs, in either
soft or hardback. Read it. Trust me.

Gunsmith Cats by Kenichi Sonada is enjoyable, I personally believe.
There's one GN out, called Bonnie and Clyde.

Akira(difficult to find. Anyone know where I can find the hardbacks?)

Sure, they're available at one of my local comic stores, here in Queensland
Australia. But that doesn't really help, does it? :(
