Here's Chapter 12 of the YYH fanfic "Hunter & Prey." This one is titled
"Resurrection." Man... I can't believe that I can actually do several
chapters a night. I'm scaring myself here. Well, NEway, constructive C & C

Ch 12 Resurrection
The black dragon made its way toward Yukon, its force sent him crashing
through the forest. Yukon gritted his teeth as he attempted to block the
attack. He would NOT let himself to be terminated by it. He summoned up
his kekkai as the dragon made contact with him. He felt himself being
pushed backward and finally rammed into the wall of a cliff. The dragon
then turned around and returned to its owner. Yukon coughed hard and
spitted out blood. That was very close, he barely made this one out alive.
He knew that it would be a while before he could fight again.

"Hiei...Oh god..." Kurama held the unconscious Hiei in his arms. "Don't
die, please, don't..."
Sonoma stared at Hiei in disbelief. He had not expected Hiei to appear out
of nowhere.
:I can't believe this. He did this for me...: Ryuma commented.
*For you? Ryuma?* Sonoma asked silently.
:Sonoma, I'm going to need to take over. I have to save him:
"Why?!" Kurama demanded. "Why?!!!"
"It's no use just sitting there and ask why. We have to start taking care
of it right away."
Kurama looked up and was surprised. The person who was supposed to be
Sonoma had changed. A third eye was now opened and glowing in the night.
His originally light hair was now dark and his violet eyes were now of a
dark blue color.
"What..." Kurama started.
"I'm Ryuma," Ryuma explained. "it's a long story. We have to take care of
Hiei right away."
Kurama nodded. "He's hurt very badly. I'm not sure if my plants can help."
"Let me take care of it," Ryuma said. "I want you to wash out his wounds
while I bandage up this body."
"What do you mean?" Kurama demanded, his anger rising. He couldn't believe
that this 'Ryuma' had decided to take care of himself first.
Ryuma glanced at Kurama and said, "I need you to wash out the wounds before
I can do anything. And if I don't bandage up my wounds, this body will be
losing too much blood and I won't have enough energy to heal."
Kurama lowered his eyes and mumbled an inaudible apology. He then quickly
proceeded to clean Hiei's wounds. Ryuma then came to Hiei and sat by him.
He put his hand on Hiei's forehead. A blue glow started out from his hands
and exteneded itself to Hiei.
"Unlike Sonoma, I also have the ability to heal," Ryuma explained. "I saved
this kid once."
Kurama looked at him, surprised. *So that was why Hiei wanted to save
Sonoma,* He thought to himself as the pieces started to fall into place. *he
knew that a part of Ryuma stayed with Sonoma when the third eye got
transplanted...*
"Hiei's pretty bright," commented Ryuma. "you're lucky that you had him."
Kurama could feel his face growing hot. "Um...yes, we are close friends."
Ryuma laughed. "Youko Kurama, I cannot believe what I am seeing from you
here," he said. "I'm sure he feels the same way."
"How long are you going to stay like this?" Kurama asked as he attempted to
change the subject.
"As long as it takes to heal Hiei as well as this body," Ryuma answered.
"Sonoma doesn't know how to heal himself. He can be considered as a youkai
now, but he still hasn't the potential to heal."
"Will...will Hiei be all right?" Kurama asked.
"Yes, he'll be fine. He is a strong fighter," Ryuma said. "a very stubborn
youkai though."
Kurama laughed lightly at the remark. So he was not the only one who
thought that way of Hiei. He was glad that Hiei would be all right. He
didn't know what he would do if Hiei died.
"Why don't you tell him?" Ryuma asked suddenly.
"Tell him ... what?"
"Tell him how you feel, Kurama," Ryuma said impatiently. "in case you don't
know, I can read everything on your mind when you are unguarded."
Kurama was stunned but quickly put up his facade and hided his feelings.
"Too late fox," Ryuma remarked. "I already knew what you were thinking."
Kurama chuckled. He liked Ryuma. He now understand why Hiei had
befriended this youkai.
"Ryuma," Kurama asked suddenly. "do you know what's going on between Sonoma
and Yukon?"
Ryuma remained silent for a moment then replied, "It was rather complicated
really. Something happened between them. Sonoma did it to save Yukon but
obviously Yukon had somehow taken it the wrong way."
Kurama was puzzled. "What do you mean?"
"A few years ago, Yukon was injured badly in an attempt to kill one of the
other assassins who had his eyes on Sonoma. Yukon was poisoned. The only
way that Sonoma could save him was by sharing youki and energy with him.
Sonoma didn't know much about healing but he knew that part of his youkai
blood could do the job of cleaning out the poison. Unfortunately, the only
way for him to do so was by sleeping with the patient. I remembered how he
had debated in his mind since he had remembered what had happened to him on
the day of my death..." At that point, Ryuma paused.
"Sonoma understands how painful it is to lose one's first time against his
own will," Ryuma continued. "as you know, Sonoma was raped by my killer.
Sonoma knew that he would be violating Yukon by saving him and he knew from
what he had observed from his time with Yukon that Yukon was still a virgin
then. However, Sonoma's will to save Yukon overpowered his other rationale..."
"So..." Kurama started. "So you mean he ..."
Ryuma nodded. "Yes, in the attempt to save Yukon, Sonoma raped him."
