You know, a young lady raised in Japan might automatically squeeze her
legs together when she falls to her knees.... It wouldn't be polite or ladylike
to sit there with you're legs spread. Misaki's going to learn not to do that
rather quickly though.
The writing is descriptive of the scene in the manga (vol. 4, pgs
111-112). In the original scene she is not exactly on her knees, more with
butt hitting the floor with legs folded back and knees together
(strategically covering, ah, things). Hard to describe, but close to the
way I used to sit to read books (laying on the floor with my legs folded
outwards and back againts my thighs and my head propped up on a pillow or
something. Its comfortable.)
