while back,X-ovr with Battle Angel Alita.. from memory titled Rearview
Mirror.. (cannot remember the author off the top of my head sorry.)

Heros die, more often than not.  The tallest poppies are the first to be
cut.

I think it should be read in that light, and I'll be keeping it.
