Actually, I had this idea a while ago, during the Revengefic heyday.
Seeing all the creative activity the "Revengefic Challenge" caused, I
wondered if people could use other "challenges" to get the ink flowing in
their veins. Not specific fanfic "ideas" but writing exercises that
might get people out of a rut if they're stuck there; I have a book that
has some ideas that could be adapted specifically to fanfic writing, and
others that might be useful to try in a fanfic genre, plus a few of my own.
If anybody's interested, let me know, and I'll post the first one.
Okay, people are gonna stomp ALL over me for this, but here is my FFML
challenge:
Write a sequel to Kun-chan's 'A Gaijun in Nerima'.
Rules: Simple. The fic must be totally ridiculous. No serious otakufics
allowed. It may be any genre you want. It can be lemon or non-lemon. It
can be a crossover. It can be WHATEVER YOU WANT, as long as it has some
relation to Kun-chan's fic.
Revengefic crossovers/links are encouraged (why not?), but these CANNOT
be revengefics.
You are required to load in as many other FFML'ers and Anime/Manga fans
as you can write reliably for. However, any portrayals of myself must
include both my human and hentai Artificial Intelligence aspects, and
must make at least one reference to the Cute Redhead Subrountine.
Otherwise you may mangle me as is your wish (I expect it'll make up for
posting this!). Try to avoid offending other authors too much (no nasty
references about their parentage, preferred uses of kitchen utensils,
etc. without their permission).
I now calmly await your flames (Alpha ducks and covers)
The Prime Saggitarian,
Alpha Centauri
