The only reason I have ever had for posting a test message in the past was
to establish what the ML added to the subject line, since I was not sure.
I did it once, and that was it.  <shrug> Just to add a thought why someone
might post a test message.  Some subject lines for fanfics are so long
that it is difficult to identify the subject without opening the message.
