HAHAHAHAHA!
Watching the currently-being broudcasted dubb of Dragon Ball Z on WPIX
NY, I noticed somthing strange. In the seen where Goku is being shofered
to the "Snake Way" by a oni-guide, the guide starts making small talk
with Goku, and I realized that the voice actor was doing a bad impression
of Woody Allen! Then the camera pull back and I see why. The oni-guide
looks like Woody Allen! That is, If Woody Allen were an oni(then again
many people think he is).
I started cracking up! I love this dubb!
Seriously, they've done a good job of it. All the voices fit, exept for
maybe Vegita's which seems a bit forced, but I'm forgiving. Very little
violence is edited out, as far as I can tell. I don't own the original
anime, just the original manga. The only scene I see edited out was the
few frames were Raditz actually strikes Gohan, but then again I'm not
one to complain that I didn't see a child getting beaten.
All the names have been intact too.
The opening is great too, with some nasty guitar rifts that makes
Spiderman's new theme seem like easy listening music!
ON ARABIAN KNIGHTZ:
