You know what you could do... instead of having Ukyou throw the bombs, 
have Kodachi do it (yes I know Ukyou and Shampoo did try to kill Akane in 
the series but Kodachi just seems more appropriate somehow)... Ranma will 
beat up kodachi too light he did to Shampoo I guess and maybe Ukyou will 
be there to comfort him after Akane's death and they can get closer ...

Well, it's wrong for the reasons that Kodachi showed she was better than
Shampoo and Ukyou and didn't try to kill Akane ... And it would go
totally against the manga ... Ukyou deserves what she got in the story
for what she did at the wedding ... Shampoo should be tortured more...
And since Ranma dies of a broken heart, like he would have in the manga
if he hadn't of saved Akane, Ukyou would be left to comfort a dead body.
This way she's got to suffer KNOWING she killed both Akane AND Ranma
by helping Shampoo.

Ukyou isn't the goody two-shoes you think she is, and she doesn't
deserve to get Ranma after trying to kill Akane in the manga ... And
I don't think Ranma would want her any more after the manga ending,
anyway.
