I remember seeing a story like this in the old ML archives.  In it, Ranma 
ends up in the past, before Genma and Nodoka met.  I don't remember much 
about it (it's been months since I've seen it), but he ends up 
befriending both his parents, takes them both out on a date AT THE SAME 
TIME, and eventually brings them together and interests Genma in martial 
arts.

That would be my story, which has complete in a sense, but never really  
polished.  If I ever get the nerve, I may redo it and do a 
script->paragraph/novel style conversion *sigh*.  I'm too lazy ...
