To Ranma, she was a guy.

To Ranma she was just a childhood friend. I doubt he ever really
considered her sex as important.

She lived as a guy as well... the only thing she
didn't do was get a sex change when she was 6... other than that, she was
a guy, and acted like one, and lived like one ...

But he wasn't around to see all that...

You'd say yes. But you don't have Ranma's macho self image to maintain,
do you?

*bap*Macho and manly are NOT the same thing!! Don't confuse one with
the other.

Ranma's homophobic, and marrying a girl who dresses, talks and
acts like a girl is a little too much on the iffy side to keep up Ranma's
'I am a man!' image ..

Not really true. Marrying a girl who looks a man would be sus but she
doesn't. Ranma often wears dresses as well. Does that make Akane and
the others lesbians because they still like him?

Ukyou's only ever appearance in a dress was the
kimono she wore when trying (and failing miserably) to be a woman. Ukyou
isn't a woman - she's an okonomiyaki chief

Fair call....she just needs a man to dig the woman out of her...]

... Ranma needs to marry a
girl, not a cook... He needs to keep up his image of being a guy, not
marrying someone who acts and looks like a guy most of the time ...

I think if they actually did marry she'd change and assume the wifely
role...accept when he was a she and then she could be a he. So
there!!

He also loves Akane. The only time Ranma may marry Ukyou is after Akane's
death, or when satan goes skating to work.

He'll never marry her. This is because she is a friend not a lover
not because of any gay concept. If Akane dies I like to think Ranma
would die with her or of a broken heart soon afterward.
