Mina-san, Ohayou!

I was entering my father's tape collection into a database for
fun, while listening to some of the tapes, when suddenly I heard
that familiar melody... I almost fell of the chair, because I was
hit by an inspiration particle the size of Australia. I ran and
looked up the lyrics, sat down for a quarter of an hour and wrote
this:

            RANMA

(Sung to the Tune of _Lola_ by The Kinks)

[Kunou's Voice:]

I met her in the yard before Fuurinkan,
where the boys were lying from fighting Tendou Akane.
Ten - do - u  Akane!
(or, perhaps: Te - n - dou Akane!)

I walked up to her and asked for a date;
I asked her name and in her boyish way she said Ranma.
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!

Well, I am the school's most physical Guy,
but when she punched me hard, she nearly broke my spine, oh my Ranma.
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!

Well, I'm not dumb, but I can't understand
why she walks like a woman, but fights like a man, oh my Ranma!
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!

Well, I'm in High School for my second year,
And I've only ever met one girl I hold so dear.
But Ranma snarled and shook off my hand
and said "You Baka! Buzz off, I'm a man"

Well, I'm not the world's most intelligent guy,
and when she spoke tose words, they simply passed me by; Oh my Ranma!
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!

I pushed her away;
I pulled out my sword;
She kicked in my face;
I fell down to my knees;
Then I looked at her and she at me.

Well, that is the way that we fight each day,
and I know that I'm gonna win her this way, oh my Ranma.
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!

[Ranma's voice:]

Girls will be cats, and boys will be girls,
It's a mixed up, muddled up, cursed world, for me, Ranma.
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!

Well, I left home more than ten years ago,
and when we went to China, my Pop didn't know
that those pools were cursed, so we went training there;
Now he becomes a panda and I become a girl!

Well, I'm not the world's most masculine man,
but I know what I am, and I say I'm a man. I am Ranma.
Sa - o - to - me  Ranma!
Not Ranko, no, Ranma!

I am still looking for the lyrics to the Hall & Oates song
_Maneater_, for a similar project on everybody's favourite mallet
wielder:  Tendou Akane - _Manbeater_.
