The story was quite straight-forward.  Mayabi was Ranma's daughter, he 
*WAS* married to Akane.

The story was about Ranma talking to his daughter and describing things 
that happened when he was younger, some of it in a flashback-type format.

You need to exercise your mind more, but not by jumping to conclusions. ;-)
