the author how he handled that. I don't see a way for the original form to
affect anything if she was human permanently, but that's just me.

i interprited it the same way you did up until that storyline
though. but, now that she wrote it, she shows they do transfer.
so i guess more than just the sins of the father are bestowed on the son

well, we're discussing this because we KNOW some curses are.
re: mint and lime. they were never cursed. their parents were a male
and an animal that had been cursed and then splashed with a water
to KEEP them in their cursed-female forms. and they have some of
the animal characteristics of their parents

A possible reason for Mint and Lime might be that they are the
product of many generations of this kind of breeding...the magic of the
curse becomes stronger because of the continual mating with cursed animals
...eventually, it's gonna show up in the children...yup...the sins of the
father....
Anyway, if they live close enough to the cursed pool to do this,
doncha think
continued exposure to the magic of the pool (even without being dipped) is
gonna
affect them anyway?
I don't think the effects on the children of a cursed pairing are
gonna be
too noticeable in the first and second generations. If the later generations
continue breeding with cursed beings, then you might have Mint & Lime.
