<sigh> I can't tell you how much I appreciate getting these from you.
I get a little thrill when I see your name next to "C&C".

As he leaves the room, the home movie screen in the background

Angus: [quietly] That screen *hates* me.

Well, when Kodachi's madness left her, it had to go somewhere. :)

: BTW, "Tekima" is a name I made up all by myself. There was some logic
: to its creation, which I'll be happy to share with anyone who asks. If
: someone knows Japanese and finds that "Tekima" is some sort of horrible
: insult, I'd appreciate being told this. :)

Angus: Doesn't one Kanji reading of "Teki" mean "enemy"?

Sebastian: Are you trying to be negative on purpose, Angus? If
you don't want to watch, just say so, and we'll manage
without you - but don't spoil it for *us*.

As you've probably noticed by now, I made a mistake in my kanji. I
think I'll be going along with Julian Fong's suggestion and renaming him
"Nouma".

: She picked one rose and put it in her hair before walking outside

: her mood. She felt a storm coming.

Angus: Awww, no! Is she lapsing back *already*?

Sebastian: Heh heh heh, I feel a plot point coming on.

Wow, you picked up on it this early? I was *so* trying to be sly. Then
again, the name of the 'fic kinda gives away how important the rose is.
Still, good job zeroing in on this.

Sebastian: Huh? [thinks for a moment] You're right! Hey
Richard - how come the baby doesn't have a name?
They're talking about "The Baby" this, "The Baby"
that, but never mention a name. C'mon, get with the
program and let the kid have one.

Angus: I hear "Miyabi" is all the rage, these days.

I almost did use "Miyabi", but I wasn't sure if Kun-chan would be
flattered or offended. I've gone ahead and named her Mikanma, the
"Orange Horse" of my previous list. Like I said, combines Akane's
"color" with Ranma's "horse". She'll also wear Chinese shirts just like
her father's, but orange instead of red. (If you're inferring from this
that I've begun writing other stories far into the future, you're
right. They won't see the light of day for a long time, I think...
possibly not until next year.)

: "You... you cut your hair." It was the only thing she could think
: of to say.
:
: Ranma's voice was disturbingly quiet. "It was cut against my
: will."

Jennifur: Myow.

Sebastian: Yes, I particularly liked that he doesn't belabor the
point, but just lets the readers come to their own
conclusions. Very nice hint at Ranma's adventures in
            the past eight years.

It's eerie how you can read my thoughts, Sebastian. That was exactly
the point I was trying to make - wacky adventures happening off screen,
that affect Ranma's life in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.

: She felt the tears flowing down her face and ignored them, intent
: on Ranma's reaction.

Angus: Is it just me, or did her soliloquy take quite long?

Sebastian: Hmm, yes, a bit. Ranma must have become more patient
than we expected. Still, I wouldn't want to miss any
part of her speech. Perhaps Richard could interject a
few reaction shots of Ranma in-between.

Hmm. Perhaps you're right. I do tend to get on the soapbox sometimes.

Laugh, and the world ignores you. Crying doesn't help either.

I've never heard this one before. Made me laugh.

Once again, thanks for your comments. You are truly an insightful
reviewer.
