And how would this preserve the relationships?  We all know
Sheridan & Delenn are fated together.  Anyhow you have to
change the characters a bit, and you can still have Akane
and Ranma relationship.  This time they are still bickering but
are forced to work together for a common goal.

Won't work because the bickering is *not* the basis of Delenn's and Sheridan's
relationship.

        This thread is giving me a headache and I hesitate to continue it
but nevertheless...
        The lines seem to be drawn between keeping the Ranma/Akane
relationship with Ukyou as Ivonova, and Ranma/Ukyou and Akane as Ivonova.
        First, Sheridan doesn't have a bickering relationship with anybody.
Following that logic we'd have to write almost everyone out entirely which
would be pointless, this is Ranma 1/2!  There are no happy couples!!
        Despite the bickering there is still a love interest there.  The
expression of said interests is simply the means to an end.  Just because
Delenn and Sheridan get along fine doesn't mean the newer Ranma and Akane
versions will have to.  Besides that it would make the story more
interesting.
        I don't want to read B5 using names from Ranma 1/2, it would just
be the same stuff rehashed.  I want to read something along the lines of a
Ranma Elseworlds.  When mixing a dramatic series with a comedic pick one, I
pick comedic otherwise what's the point of using Ranma 1/2?
        I grow tired, I must sleep soon.  I'm not responding to this thread
anymore.  Last note, Ukyou is a better match for Ivonova then Akane anyway.
